Affiliate Programme Terms
Last updated 1 October 2026
1. The short version
You earn 20% of what each person you refer pays us during their first 12 months, and we pay you monthly once each payment has cleared a 30-day holding period.
- Commission: 20% of each payment, worked out on the price before tax.
- How long: the first 12 monthly payments, or the first annual payment.
- Who counts: people who are new to us. Existing or past members, and people already on our email list, don't earn commission.
- When you're paid: monthly, after a 30-day holding period that covers refunds.
- If a member leaves or is refunded: commission stops, and commission on refunded payments is cancelled.
- Your part: promote honestly, say clearly that you earn from your link, and don't refer yourself.
These terms are an agreement between you and Half Day Thursdays Ltd ("we", "us"). By joining the programme or using your affiliate link, you agree to them. The sections below are the full detail, and they win if anything here seems to say something different.
2. Who can join
The programme is open to current Half Day Thursdays members, and to other people we invite.
- You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract.
- We approve each affiliate and can decline an application without giving a reason.
- You need a PayPal account in your own name or your business's name to be paid.
- Your affiliate account is personal to you. You can't sell it, share it or pass it to someone else.
3. How referrals are tracked
A referral counts when a new member buys a paid membership after clicking your personal affiliate link.
- Your link: you get a unique link in your community account. Only sales tracked through that link earn commission.
- 90-day window: if someone clicks your link and joins within 90 days, the referral is yours.
- Last click wins: if someone clicks more than one affiliate's link, the last link they clicked before buying gets the referral.
- New members only: the person must not already be a paying member, and must not have been one before.
- New to us: the person must not already be in our audience. If they had been on our email list for 30 days or more when they joined, the referral doesn't earn commission.
- We check before paying: during the holding period we check each referral against our member and email records, and cancel commission on any that don't qualify. We'll let you know if that happens.
- Paid memberships only: free trials and free access don't count until the person makes a payment.
- Earlier referrals: people you sent our way before you joined the programme aren't covered unless we agree it with you in writing.
Tracking depends on cookies and on the person using your link, so it won't catch every case. Our tracking records are final unless there is an obvious error. If you think a referral was missed, tell us within 30 days of the sale and we'll look into it.
4. Commission
You earn 20% of each qualifying payment your referral makes in their first 12 months.
- Monthly members: 20% of each of their first 12 monthly payments.
- Annual members: 20% of their first annual payment. Renewals after that don't earn commission.
- Before tax: commission is worked out on the amount the member pays, not including VAT or sales tax.
- After discounts: if the member uses a discount code, commission is 20% of the discounted amount.
- In US dollars: commission is always calculated and paid in US dollars.
- While they stay: commission is only earned on payments we actually receive. If a member cancels, commission stops with their last payment.
- If they come back: if a member cancels and later rejoins, the new membership doesn't earn commission.
- If they switch plan: commission continues on the new plan, within the limits above.
For example, a $100 monthly payment earns you $20, for up to 12 payments.
5. When and how you're paid
We pay commission once a month by PayPal, after each payment has cleared a 30-day holding period.
- Pending: when your referral pays, your commission shows as pending for 30 days. This covers refunds and failed payments.
- Due: after 30 days with no refund, the commission becomes due.
- Paid: by the 15th of each month, we pay everything that became due by the end of the previous month.
- Minimum payout: your due balance must be at least $5. Smaller balances roll over to the next month.
- Your details: you're responsible for giving us the right PayPal email. We can't re-send a payment that went to an address you gave us.
- Fees: any fees PayPal charges you to receive or convert money are yours to cover.
- Unclaimed commission: if we can't pay you because your payout details are missing or wrong, and you don't fix them within 12 months of us asking, that commission is forfeited.
You can see your clicks, referrals and commission at any time in your affiliate dashboard.
6. Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks
You only earn commission on money we keep.
- Refund during the holding period: the commission on that payment is cancelled, or reduced to match a partial refund.
- Refund or chargeback after you've been paid: we can deduct that commission from your future payouts. If there are no future payouts to deduct from, we may ask you to pay it back.
- Failed payments: a payment that fails or is reversed earns no commission.
- Fraud or rule-breaking: commission on any sale that involved fraud, or that broke these terms, is cancelled.
7. How you can promote
Share your link wherever you have a real relationship with the audience, and always make it obvious that you earn from it.
Good places to share include your own email list, social media, website, podcast, videos, client conversations and private groups you belong to, where the group's rules allow it.
Say that it's an ad. Advertising rules in the UK, the US and most other countries require this, and both you and we are responsible for getting it right.
- Put a clear label such as "Ad" or "#ad" at the start of any post, video title or email that promotes Half Day Thursdays with your link.
- You can add a plain sentence too, such as "I'm a member and I earn a commission if you join through my link."
- Don't rely on the word "affiliate" alone, on a label at the end of a post, or on vague wording such as "I may earn a commission". UK guidance treats these as not clear enough.
- Follow the disclosure rules of the country you and your audience are in, and of the platform you post on.
Be accurate. Describe the community as it is, speak from your own experience, and send people to our own pages for current prices and details.
8. What's not allowed
These protect members, other affiliates and the reputation of the community. Breaking them can cost you your commission and your place in the programme.
- Self-referral: using your own link to buy for yourself, your household or your own business.
- Spam: unsolicited bulk emails, messages or comments, or posting in groups that don't allow promotion.
- Paid ads on our name: bidding on "Half Day Thursdays", "Eliot Prince" or close variations in search or social ads, or running paid ads that send people straight to our pages.
- Misleading claims: promising income, results or time saved, or stating anything about the community that isn't true.
- Your own discounts: offering rebates, cashback, bonuses for joining or discount codes we haven't given you.
- Coupon and deal sites: listing your link or any code on voucher, coupon or cashback sites.
- Pretending to be us: using names, domains, social handles or pages that could be mistaken for official Half Day Thursdays or Eliot Prince accounts.
- Gaming the tracking: cookie stuffing, hidden links, forced clicks, fake accounts or any other way of creating referrals that aren't real.
- Sharing members-only material: posting paid lessons, recordings, resources or private member conversations to promote your link.
- Anything unlawful or harmful: promotion that is illegal, offensive or aimed at under-18s.
9. Using our name and content
You may use the Half Day Thursdays name, logo and any promotional materials we give you, only to promote the community under these terms.
- Use logos and materials as supplied. Don't alter them or build your own branding around them.
- Don't suggest you are our employee, partner or spokesperson. You're an independent member recommending something you use.
- We can ask you to change or take down any promotion, and you agree to do so within 3 working days.
- This permission ends when you leave the programme. Remove our logo and materials, and stop using your link, when it does.
- We may mention you as an affiliate or share your public posts about the community, unless you ask us not to.
10. Your status, your tax and your data
You take part as an independent person or business, and you look after your own tax.
- Independent: nothing in these terms makes you our employee, agent or business partner. You can't make commitments on our behalf.
- Your tax: you're responsible for declaring commission and paying any tax due on it where you live. We don't deduct tax for you.
- VAT and sales tax: commission amounts include any VAT or similar tax you may need to charge. If you're VAT registered, tell us before your first payout.
- Your costs: you cover your own costs of promoting.
- Your data: we use your name, email, payout details and referral activity to run the programme and pay you, in line with our privacy policy.
- Member data: we don't share members' personal details with you. Any referral details you can see in your dashboard are for tracking only.
11. Changes to the programme
We can change the commission rate, these terms or any part of the programme, with 30 days' notice, and changes only apply to new referrals.
- Notice: we'll tell you by email or inside the community at least 30 days before a change takes effect.
- Existing referrals are protected: anyone you referred before the change keeps earning you commission on the terms that applied when they joined.
- Your choice: if you keep using your link after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can leave the programme under section 12.
- Urgent changes: we can make a change straight away if the law, our payment provider or our community platform requires it, or to stop fraud or abuse.
- Closing the programme: we can close the programme with 30 days' notice. We'll still pay commission earned on payments made before the closing date.
12. Leaving the programme
Either of us can end your participation at any time, and what happens to your commission depends on why.
- You leave: email us and we'll close your affiliate account. We'll pay all commission earned on payments made up to the date your account closes.
- We end it without cause: we'll give you 30 days' notice, pay all commission already earned, and keep paying commission on your existing referrals for the rest of their first 12 months.
- We end it because you broke these terms: we can remove you immediately. Unpaid commission linked to the breach is cancelled, and for a serious breach such as fraud, all unpaid commission is cancelled.
- If your membership ends: you can stay in the programme unless we tell you otherwise.
- Inactive accounts: if your link produces no referrals for 12 months, we may close your affiliate account after letting you know.
13. The legal bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and our liability to you is limited to the commission we owe you.
- No guarantees: we don't promise any level of referrals or earnings. Our pages, checkout and tracking may be unavailable or change from time to time.
- Our liability: our total liability to you under the programme is limited to the commission paid or due to you in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for lost profits or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud.
- Your responsibility: you're responsible for your own promotion. If a claim or fine arises because your promotion broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs.
- Whole agreement: these terms are the full agreement between us about the programme. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- Governing law: the law of England and Wales applies, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute.
